Most Bananas are 24', very similar to 24 Superboat, Pantera Excalibre etc. etc....there were a few that ran in the Production Classes in the late 70's early 80's. They were out of Rhode Island.
A guy named Charlie McCarthy ran a "one off" 38', called "Top Banana" which won one race-due to attrition.

Ron:

Actually they were made in Rhode Island for a while.

Other than that they were simply another in a long line of 24 Magnum "Pops".

Too Slow,

Banana used to advertise in the Salty Dog and or Boat Trader.
A small personal type picture ad. I just threw away literature
which I got from them probably in 1998 or early 1999. At that time they were operating out of New Jersey, probably Point Pleasant or nearby as I recall. I'm sure that someone on this board will be able to provide more info.

There was a guy brokering boats out of his lagoon front house in Point Pleasant-I dont think they were manufactured there.
