Saw a sunsation 32 for sale, has one bbc 502 poked , stroked, and 3.3 whipple.

how would this compare fuel wise to twin injected stock 502s at cruise and at wot ?

My small brain thinks it vaguely remembers this boat.....maybe a member here ? I'd do a search here while waiting for others responses.

I'm super curious if a single high hp bbc is better on fuel than two stock bbcs.

the maintenance savings would be great.

I don't see how with Bravo's liking to ****themselves on a daily occurence with decent power..especially in single app's, but that's just me.

there was something along the lines of 5 or fewer single 32s made. I doubt you will find anything with mpg and a compare. I believe two of the 32s were race boats and another had big power.

General consensus is two motors work less to maintain similar speeds and therefore more efficient.

Do a search in this section, as the 32' single BBC Sunsations have been discussed a few times. Two of them are owned by friends of mine in VA, and a third was in MD for a while. Also, keep in mind that there have been several different 32' Sunsation hull models; so you can't compare them all to each other.

Was in MD (pic was taken in Bahamas):

Pretty sure the Imco SC lower has the same gears as the XR does so I would question being rated for 800hp
