does anyone know what the OEM socket for the stern light on a 1989 272 sr1 would be?
or have a good replacement part for it?
The pin on mine broke off and I need a fix. Also seems like its difficult to access from the engine compartment as the halon fire extinguisher is centered right below where the socket is mounted. Access seems limited
thanks

The pole light fixture is a Perko 1059P00 base. $40 dollars at West Marine (I just bought one and they are kept in stock).
The transom light is a Attwood 6356D7 (the new ones are stamped with the USCG 2nm cert).
Both assemblies use #8 stainless screws. When I replaced my pole base, I had to use an impact driver to get the screws to break free. Once the fixtures are loose, there should be enough wire available to pull it out far enough for servicing. On the 311 there's a shelf below both (my 242 was open underneath).
Convert to LED bulbs while you're servicing.
Hope this helps.
