Just bought a 98 commander with a new engine from the second owner I bought it from the third owner. Guy said it was a 454 but I'm not sure I cant find a serial number and cant seem to find a casting number either. It has a mechanical fuel pump boss but its blocked off. It has a 10 bolt timing cover. And a magnet wont stick to the intake manifold. Please help thanks

the D14.90 cast in the rear of the block could be April 14th of 1990 in automotive terms, while facing the engine there is a machined pad on the front left of the block where the starboard head bolts on see if there are two sets of #'s there it could be a 454 truck block
