I installed the Fel Pro 17030 perma torque head gaskets on my small block chevy. I of course did not follow the instructions that say to torque the head and then wait 10 minutes and then loosen each head bolt and then re-torque theme at a time in sequence.
I am running edelbrock aluminum heads and arp head studs
The engine probably has about 15 minutes of run time on it, but has been assembled for a good 6 months or so.
As I see it, my options are
1: replace the head gaskets with new ones and follow the instructions
2: go back now and complete the install procedure by loosening and re-torueing each head stud one at a time in sequence
3: send it
What do you guys suggest?
Thanks,
Russ
