I have a tri axle Nordic trailer. I have no brakes at all .
Has anyone replaced or fixed the brakes on one of these trailers?
Any tips on troubleshooting what the main problem may be?
Any tips in general would be helpful. Oh ya, it's a 1998 if that matters.

Are you sure you have brake fluid?

I'm sure I don't have fluid. should I just add fluid and start pumping the brakes? Can I pump them manually? Then just look for the fluid leak? I think the lines are inside the steel tube frame of the trailer. The boat's not right here so I'm not sure how much of the lines are inaccessable.

DallasHeat, I had the same problem with my trailer this summer. I have a tri-axle Heritage trailer for my 29' Outlaw. Fill up the reservoir with brake fluid and it should work again. My lines had a leak too!

I have a tandem Nordic trailer. It seems as if the brakes work pretty well, however after a little bit of a drive the brakes are quite hot. Producing steam when backed into the lake. This happens even if there are not many hills.

It seems as if I am riding on the brakes, slightly engaged. Is there any way to change the sensitivity of the surge brake system or otherwise aleviate this problem?

Also, the trailer has a 5 pin adapter that goes to the truck. Is one of these for electronic brake control? What do I need to be able to utilize this?

I had no brakes after I got the boat. The linkage in the front of the trailer was not hooked up. I purged it and they work well.

I have the same trailer and the same thing happened to me. The break line had rusted through; just replace the break line it runs inside the frame from the front to the back.

I had to do the brake line last spring
