I have vessel view race edition with the mercury ambient temp sensor drilled into the fiberglass, upgrading to a simrad display with the vessel view link and N2K network. had anybody done this and found a way to use the mercury ambient sensor? sensor is part number 889575 and has a 2 terminal connector, I called mercury 3 times and 2 tech guys said there is no way to integrate the old sensor into the new network and to buy a sensor that plugs right into the N2K network, and 1 tech guy said to purchase two vessel view 4 harnesses part number 8M0075065 and 8M0075066 and it will plug in. does anybody have any insight to this? (or these harnesses laying around they want to sell cheap)

yes i have used the Sensor from my VesselView7 on my VesselviewLnik Module.

The new Vesselview Link Module have only 1 Wire with no conection to Temps Sensore ore System Link ( To AGI Module....) The Module are the same like the Vesselview4 Display, only without the display.

yup it works, throw away the harnesses that come with the link kit and order the ones listed above... good to go

The harnes have 4 Link Ports for gauges ore AGI and a wire set for the audio warning buzzer too.
