Default Replacement battery options, 1988 F311

What is everyone using for modern replacement batteries for a 1988 F311 SR-1 with factory shore/charging system? I understand AGM batteries don't "like" the trickle chargers?
Thanks,
Tom

I don't have a recommendation on a battery (don't want to go there ) but AFAIK AMG batteries are fine with trickle chargers just that when used in older boats, the chargers used back then don't have the proper charging profile and no way to adjust for AMG's. Any new modern charger has a profile for AMG's and should work fine.

I'm going to assume mine is older and probably rule out AMGs until I confirm or update...Thanks!

We always used Interstate batteries and never had any issues when hooked up to chargers during the winter storage months.

I run deka marine masters. Have them in all of my boats. No charging issues just a regular lead acid deep cycle battery.
