Default Merc Racing 525 coil pack?

Trying to find the actual name and where to order these.. Have a 2008 Fountain with 525's.
Looking for mercury 525 coil pack (the part that fires the spark plug to ignite fuel in combustion chamber)

What does Mercury actually call this and anywhere I can order it? If you have a model number even better!

thx

You need to search on you serial # to make sure you get the right ones, I'm sure there are others out there at a better price, Call Eddie Young @ Young performance the will probably have some in stock.

Okay, I’m done looking up.
AcDelco part could very well be Delphi, but you never know now a days. Take a look at top and bottom of your coil and let us know of any manufacturer name, letters, symbols, numbers.

Will add especially being a hp 525 and using that calibrated 555 PCM as the ignition to needs to be good and the ignition coils more important here to match the primary and secondary ohms because it can TAX the ignition coil drivers internally (PCM). Taxed the drivers to much possible can knocked them out.

^^^ meaning that if you try to save a few bucks with components that appear to be the same but not correct, you are spending more because you take out the PCM and still have to replace your "coils" with the proper components... as well as being knocked off the water in prime boating season!

BUP has it exactly correct.

So I'm not sure that the problem I have is the coil pack..but if it is, I want to be able to order these. My serial numbers on my 2008 Fountain are:OM957xxx and OM958xxx

I will need to drive about 2.5 hours to the boat and get pics.

Not sure if this number helps, this is off my 2004 vintage 525. The coils of my 2008s have the same numbers on their coil packs.

SB - Nice research on cross referencing parts sir. Great info
