Default Skater 338 Receives Incredible Make Over And Mercury Racing 860 Repower

Thanks to the teams at Boat Customs, Appearance Products and Double R Performance, Canadian performance boater Clay Leibel's Skater 338 catamaran powered by twin Mercury Racing 860 engines is a work of art.

Ok...I'll be the lone dissenting opinion, I like it better in white, now it looks like every other go-fast.

Top notch job though and looks like it's going to deliver tons of thrills.

I mirror your comments, I too preferred the paint/colors as they were.

That said if the customer is happy that is what matters as the quality of work looks fantastic.

Wow. What a cool project and great outcome. I understand the attraction to all white, it's just timeless and stands out in it's cleanliness. But that new paint pops real nice and is a bit more sinister looking. Very cool performance numbers with those 860s. In a day and age where everyone is going to outboards it seems, nice to see some big V8's still desired. I would like to hear the the background on the decision to go from the surface drives to 6's though.

They created the perfect boat. Love it with the 6s.

In spite of my sentimental attachment to the boat as the way it was due to the fact that the last time I saw and spoke to Brad Smith he was running on this boat Shootout weekend before the accident soon following at Lake Cumberland I have to say the remake is stunning. Congrats to all involved!
