Hi I heard the Baja outlaw pre 2000 has stronger issues. I went and looked at one today with twin 454s at 300 original hours. I found a little crack wondering if I should be concerned. Thanks for the help he’s a photo

I knew of a 1992 that had 0 issues up until it was stolen and they were cut to get the engine out, that was 2010. The boat has a blower on it since probably 1992 or 1993 with juice.

Ask if you can turn the motor mount bolt that goes into the stringer top. If they don't tighten stringers rotted.

+1 to traction. My 1997 272 was bought new and was a trailer queen. Stored inside, never left in the water etc. My stringers still went bad by the motor mounts within 5 years of owning it. The bottom also blistered where it sat on the bunks of the trailer. That being said......The only reason I knew this was I swapped the 454 for a 502 and found, and repaired the stringer issue at the motor mounts. It was a very small section that was bad. And the only way I knew about the blisters was I .would jack it off the trailer to be able to wax the complete hull.
