Default Rare 28' Cigarette SS with surface drives

Here is a rarity I though it was too good and odd to put in the Craigslist gold post.

1976 Cigarette Racing Team 28SS RARE surface drive boat - $19000 (Canyon Lake)

1978 Cigarette Racing Team 28SS. This is a real deal Don Arownow designed Thunderboat row survivor. Twin low hour Chevrolet 350's, 750 hp, Arneson ASD-6 surface drives capable of handling well over 1000 hp. Stainless steel props, K-planes, new exhaust, bought it to restore. Just too many boats. Runs well, 75 mph with current props. Only one on the west coast! Triple axle trailer with disc brakes and newer tires. She gets decent fuel economy if just cruising. Cheap insurance, about 230 a year, cheap registration too. Great boat to fully restore. Only reason I'm selling is that the lake I just moved to has a 22' length limit. If she doesn't sell, I'm still going to restore her. Needs some lovin but a very solid boat. Not desperate, so don't make ridiculous offers. Try to find another... very hard to find on this coast. Will trade for 22 or maybe a 18' Donzi or 21 Cigarette. It won't break my heart if it doesn't sell, it might break my wifes heart though. Lol. Have Chevy K3500 dually 4x4 crew cab tow vehicle if needed at extra cost. Call with questions I don't like to type.

Cool old boat, especially for the price.

I recall this Cig from quite aways back being for sale. Dan at Archer Marine most likely knows this one. Believe it to be one of Arneson's earliest conversions. Saw it at one of our local lakes 10 plus years ago, but didn't have time to talk to the owner.

Says too many boats but then states will take a boat in trade, needs resto. Sounds like big problems.
