Northstar 6000i issue

Northstar 6000i issue
Good Morning!
I have a Northstar 6000i that has an issue. I am hoping someone can help. I had an issue with my boat batteries and replaced them and a fuse.
After I replaced them my 6000i would not work properly. This is what is happening: 1) the 6000i turns on automatically (before I had to press the power button), 2) the unit's display stays on for about 10 minutes then the screen goes black even though the unit is on, 3) it also chirps one time every 5 minutes or so 4) the power button does not turn the unit off when during this whole process.
Any suggestion other than getting a new Simrad?
