What’s the difference in these two 350 MAG MPI engines?

If we knew the serial numbers could determine better
Both are 300 hp

Top is newer and probably has Gen 3 cool fuel module and HVS distributor,

Bottom probably cool fuel Gen 2 and EST ignition

thanks. The serial numbers say the bottom is a 1997 and the top is a 1998 or newer. Why does the older one seem to have a single plane style intake on it?

The high rise intake is said to have better low end torque. That said, the reason to change from one thing to the other in most cases is for a cost savings

My self I would take the older motor because of EST ignition and MEFI-3
