Looking to replace all my coils and possibly my spark plug wires on my 700SCi’s. Does anyone know of anything better than the oem merc parts or is merc my best bet? If you know of anywhere online that is selling coils for a good price please post a link if possible. Tia

I believe they are IGN1A coils. There are probably not any better out their, but there are good equivalent coils for 1/2 the cost. Are they bad?

Give Teague Custom Marine a call id bet they have something better than Merc and for less $$.

Mercruiser wires just $70 if you can believe that.
Haltech ign-1a coils around $70 each. Same with others I have listed here:

I saw that thread, have you successfully tried any of those coils that you listed on the 600/700sci engines or do you have a recommendation on which one might be best? I’m assuming all will plug and play?

I talked to John and it doesn’t look like he can get them made in the time that I’m going to need them so I’m wondering if I should just go with the merc coils or are there some better ign-1a coil options out there
