Default Bravo1 xr yoke retainer

hello everyone, I am trying to assemble an upper bravo 1 standard I put all the new XZ gear and the upper drive shaft teague platinum, I am looking to put a yoke xr I was wondering if I can put the yoke retainer xr a instead of the standard bravo 1 anyone know if its can work? and that you bother to put on an XR cover top

I know this is an old post but I'll answer anyway.

The XZ gear and a standard bravo gear are the same other than the XZ gear uses the larger X XZ and XR input shaft. You will need a new input shaft, as well as as the X, XR retainer plate and seal. There is really no point in changing all this over so you can run the X gears, they are no stronger than a standard bravo gear. The strength increase in the X/XZ upper comes from the better steel tower. So unless you had a steel tower added, you are gaining nothing but a headache to reassemble correctly.
