I have a 26 hustler with 500efi would like to add ext box thinking merc its or imco any input would be nice . Like the Its with the steering but can not find any info on the benefits of the 7 inch set back over the 12 with imco .

Id take the ITS over the box, it cleans up the whole azz end of the boat.........I run them

Where is the best place to buy the ITS

How difficult was the install ? Any major changes with steering and electronics quess what im asking does it come complete or alacarte. Shore looks nice on your boats clean !

I didn’t do the install but it’s all one unit.

Previous boat had imco box and transom assembly, current boat has ITS. As stated the ITS is very clean, still uses stock electric trim sender. The imco box and transom assembly is beefier but not as clean, but I would say it did not look bad by any means. One thing that was great on the imco box bs the ITS was the inspection plates. Don’t have to go in there often but made aligning the drive shaft splint much easier when installing drives. The ITS is all closed off, one drain plug on the bottom though. The imco transom assembly could be removed the the box as well with the motor in the boat. Motor would have to come out on a close couple motor to remove the ITS.
