This was an interesting thread on Scream and Fly which prompted me to start this thread. I hope someone with first hand information about this hot-rod can tell us more here on OSO. I have always loved the low profile style of boats (after boating in ALL low profile performance boats).

Sweet ride - Growing up it took a carbon 24 Skater with a pair of damn strong/ prepped 2.5 Bridgeports or a triple 2.5 carbon 32 Skater to run what Mark is pushing his 34' V hull..... I'm sure it will go faster with some more prop testing

I have no first hand knowledge about how the 34' Tuffs run the Ocean, though, .........

I would have no issue driving that 34' Tuff in the Ocean off of the New Jersey coast (as fast it would go when trying to race another boater, any boater for that matter), most days, and if it was too rough in the Ocean off of Atlantic City, then I would be in the Intracoastal waterway in New Jersey, the Delaware River, the upper Chesapeake, Barnegat Bay, or the Gulf of Mexico and or the Intracoastal waterway in Florida's Suncoast.

To ask how it runs in the Ocean is an awfully ambiguous and weather dependent moment, but I get your point, I do not know the answer to that question first hand, but a Sea Trial for a serious buyer (or existing owner) would get us an answer, I hope to learn more. Each boat in the market place will be best utilized in what it was designed to do.....pad bottom at 113 mph, I get what makes this boat tick.

I have no first hand knowledge of how the boat run in big water, BUT.... considering Mark and his wife raced for years in 24 and 32 skaters APBA in Fla. I think it would be safe to say his boats are not built to just run against a pickle fork on a river

That said, I don't think he would be airing out the 34 to the same extent as in the FB vid on the ocean.

Assume it will ride worse than a 24* Vbottom. But better than any of the little flat bottom hot rods due to size.
