Default Possible to run Driver and Passenger throttles simultaneous?

I primarily drive and throttle the boat, but would like to use the passenger side throttle during poker runs or long, spirited runs while having someone else drive. Right now there are 2 separate cables (1 to each throttle), but I have to manually disconnect one and hook up the other at the carb to swap. I would like to be able to alternate back and forth without having to swap the cables. Just curious if there is anyway to setup both throttles to work simultaneously?
- Do they make a carb cable stud to accept 2 cables at same time? If so will it be hard tension on the levers BC of 2 throttles/cables?
- Any other methods to have them run both throttles at same time?

Sorry for the poor pic, but this is my current setup

Thanks in advance!

Ive seen that setup on a flybridge of a big cruiser...Its like watching a ghost drive the boat as the control move around! .....dont know how they work but im sure it can be done

It would be a lot easier if it was electronic. Most of those you can push a button on and 'take control' of the throttles from. To do it with cables seems like some serious engineering. Keep us posted

Damn never thought of flybridge needing some kind of setup thats similar. I talked it out with another guy locally and think we have a plan, see below

DTS or fly by wire, whatever you want to call it would be so much simpler for sure! But no EFI for me lol

SO here's what I think we worked out.... Installing a standard carb throttle cable stud and installing the main throttle, then using a small threaded spacer or coupling nut, and then a quick disconnect cable stud/ball joint for the passenger throttle. That way the main throttle always works, and can hook up the passenger side for poker runs, etc... Yet the driver's side will still work without popping the hatch to disconnect.... yet is still quick to connect or disconnect if desired. Just need to also create a double cable clamp bracket, which shouldn't be difficult. If that all makes sense?

Just will have to test and make sure the tension isnt too tight with double the mechanism.

Even house boats have the same thing and they are manual, may look into how they do it rather than reinvent the wheel.

High quality cables makes a big difference with the effort required . When two or more cables are connected.

Ya, I NEED to replace my indicator cables, so might as well do the throttle and shifter cables at the same time anyway... Thanks!

First link is a dual station single function lever transfer unit for 33c cables, it's a pdf.
