Hey everyone,
This is my first post on Offshore Only and I appreciate how knowledgeable and thorough everyone is in their posts. This is not my first boat, but the 2021 season was my first time with a boat in a slip and not trailering every trip. My 2021 Monterey M65 runs +- 52mph flat out with 2 people onboard with a 400 Verado. The boat stays in salt water (I know that's taboo here, go easy on me)
For 2022 I'm looking for a few things:
Thanks in advance for the help, I appreciate all of you.

For 2022 I'm looking for a few things:
- More top-end speed. Was told about USP Marine Tuning aftermarket parts
- Changing to aftermarket prop
- Different bottom paint (Was told about Black Widow with lots of good feedback)
Thanks in advance for the help, I appreciate all of you.

Cool boat! My wife and I have a Formula FasTech 292, and we were looking hard at the Monterey 305ss
(Now that I put new engines + steering in mine, hoping to get another 10 years out of it)
52mph seems pretty good for that size/engine.
We cruise at 42 MPH to max MPG, but yea, we can touch 68 when warranted.
What RPM are you at wide open? If you tack on a bigger prop, you're going to lose hole-shot, and may not actually gain any top end speed.
I assume you're under warranty, so if it was my rig, I'd leave it alone and not risk voiding that, but I'm also interested in adding speed, so let's see what else is out there
