28 Cigarette/27 Magnum
#2
Back in the 80's, I was riding in a Top Gun with one of Miami's top engine builders at the time. A 27 Magnum came up on us and the TG owner throttled up. The Magnum was chine walking quite a bit. I had a 28 Cigarette at the time; I asked the engine builder why the Magnum had a tendency to chine walk while my 28 Cig did not. His response, "The 28 Cigarette is a much more refined hull." You may get a number of people who say the 28 Cig is a splash of the 27 Magnum, but not what I was told. As always, I'll have to defer to Brownie for the definitive answer.

I’ve had 27 Cig/Squadron, 2~28 Cigs, a 20 Cig and a38 TG. The 27 ran very similar to the 28 Cig and Squadron was after Cig, so if it had a pedigree, it would have been closer to the 28 Cig
