Looks like v10 350 and 400- only a matter of time before it's one of the merc racing platforms also?

Naturally Aspirated 5.7L V10 Engine:
The new platform features the outboard industry’s first V10 naturally aspirated powerhead.
It leverages class-leading 5.7L displacement and a performance-inspired quad-cam design to propel boats ahead with exceptional speed and acceleration.

All-New Gearcase: The platform’sall-new hydrodynamic gearcase is engineered to improve performance and durability across multiple applications while also maximizing fuel efficiency. Mercury engineers went back to first principles engineering and designed the all-new Revolution X propeller to perfectly match the V10 Verado in every way. Larger diameter and wider blades combined with the deep ratio of the new gearcase provide excellent handling, thrilling acceleration and high efficiency from low speed all the way to wide-open throttle.
These models run on 87 octane. It's just a matter of time before we see a derivative of the 450R's supercharger bolted onto it and see 500+ HP outboards.

Interested to know price when someone has that info.

Also curious what the R strategy would be. The 300R gets a 6800 redline and at least 15hp more. That would bump these into 450R. Maybe they won’t do it.

Also looks to be a 30lbs heavier than the I6, but not bad. Probably a lot more torque than the I6.

Interesting comparison here. I want to like the Yamaha 425 but I’ve heard it’s a screamer.

3mph up top over the 400 I6, more acceleration.

How are they going to keep the gear cases alive when the HP goes up?
