I have a 2009 Venture 3 axle aluminum beam trailer (Formula 311, 9,000#). I'm in Florida (salt water) and my leaf springs look pretty rusty. I am looking for recommendations for three axle sets (total of six leafsprings) that are 25" on center (front to back bolt) with six leafs each.
Are there composites (or some other optional salt water compatible materials) that would be better in my application/location?
Brand, Material, Vendor/Supplier???
Thanks,
Tom

He recommends (since I want to do something to extend their life) Ospho and spray undercoating...BUT they are really good to go for a few more years. Thanks for listening!

I was going to say... they look okay to me.
If you want to go the easy route, those springs will soak up used motor oil like crazy. Roll over some plastic to protect the ground from drips, then use a disposable paint brush to apply. Works great and free.

Tom’s got me beat for sure though for being all original interior etc mine’s not bad! He’s got probably the nicest 311 out there. Sweet boat for sure - a definite positive outcome from the storm damage situation!
Project-wise… she’s running. Still working out some bugs but getting there. Lots of power! Acceleration from 40 to 70 was surprising. That was with little trim and solid three-foot swell. Oil temp at 190 and coolant at 180 turning about 4700. Haven’t even let her really have it yet. She’s put away for the season now. Might be looking at a set of Konrad drives after the new year (if they’re still available).
You all have fun down there!!

If you want a good rustproofing coating try to find the PB Blaster surface shield. I saw it reviewed on youtube and it looked impressive....then i happened to find it at my local Harbor freight store then again later that week at Menards (its a hardware store like Home Depot if not familiar with them)
I bought a can and sprayed a bunch of parts on my Avalanche....two months later its still holding strong...seems to be a waxy coating and they claim it creeps into cracks/crevices etc....
