Default Oil leak new build

I had a local shop do a complete rebuild on my 540 - machine work, bearings, valves, lifters, etc. you get the idea. I didn't get the boat back until late August, so only had a handful of chances to get it out and was tracking down other issues after getting the motor and rebuilt drive back in. I noticed oil in the bilge after boating, not a ton, but as it mixes with the water it just makes a mess. It appears to be hitting the drive belts and slinging in the bilge and makes it's way towards the sea pump on the starboard side.

Ultimately, it's going to need to be fixed. I'm not dealing with a nasty bilge after a fresh rebuld. My question is, what's a fair ask of the shop that did the work? I have maybe 10 hours on it since it's been back in the boat.

I mentioned it to them when I was out there a couple months back and told them I'd probably run some floruscent dye through it to identify the source. Of course, he didn't jump up and offer to fix it. I'm guessing it will need to be pulled, there's very little room to work towards the front of the engine and bulkhead.

Thanks

I had a leak after an engine rebuild (Merc 496) down the front of the engine. Told my shop and he gave me the dye to run in it toward the end of the season then had me bring him the boat so he could black light it. What appeared to be an engine has to come out leak was an easy fix in the boat where the oil fill tube got slightly jacked/dislodged at its base (probably from being moved about during rebuild or during removal/install). I'd dye it/track it down and go from there. Hopefully you get as lucky as I did though my shop/builder said if it has to come out they'd take care of it on their dime.
