6 min 30+ separates Apache from the others in the rough - Epic footage.....( I think Apache can take sea's that the human body can't, at least for long!).
Modern stepped hulls run a lot faster on less power but with big power the Apaches run hard & fast

First off - big sea running is for endurance racing, wackos and those that have never been out in big seas for extended periods of time. That said, if you want a boat that can run comfortably in true 3-4s and handle the big stuff when needed, here is my humble opinion.
Apaches and 42+' Cigarettes are true wave crushers but heavy and require a lot of HP to run over 90mph.
I own a 38 Donzi ZRC (purpose built sit down / no cabin) and have no doubt that it is the best overall V bottom ever built. Comparing it to all others in the 36-45'+ range, nothing compares to it. The boat runs a legit 110 with 700hp reliable motors, flies level and true, and is all fiberglass so it rides smooth. Yes Outerlimits, will be faster and can handle rough seas, but the ride quality can't be beat in my ZRC.
