Default Mercruiser sniper conversion fuel cooler b4 tb or at return line?

No access to fill hose or tank, glassed in so forced to run a fuel cooler for a sniper conversion and recirculate return
on a stock 454 gen4. Do I run the fuel cooler after the hp pump? Concerned with efi psi on a cooler.. I'd prefer it on the low/return side..

Thoughts?

Stock Merc Cool-Fuel setup has the pump before the cooler.

most coolers are tested at 100+ psi even if they are rated for less

Cooler after pump, run return to filter head.
