Hi reason I'm asking is after a bunch of efforts in troubleshooting and changing values as in my post below. My Fitech EFI finally no longer communicates with the handheld interface. I'm pretty much fed up now with it. So wondering anyone's experiences with the Holley Sniper EFI?
I don't want to change one problematic EFI for one with a different set of problems. Thanks

Had a stock 454 mag and it's now a mildly built 505 with Holley sniper. I had mine first startup and run on a dyno - after about 20 mins the Holley was tuned in and running just fine. Same with in the boat
I didn't do any additional changes or tuning, simply dropped it on, input my configuration, and let it so it's thing, I would recommend! Not sure if it's relevant, but I also opted for the hyperspark kit as well. So far it's started the first crank every time

Jase,
if you don’t mind please update us on your conversion to Sniper. I am at a similar point of surrender on my Fi-tech system and looking to replace with something reliable so considering the Holley Sniper or go back to a carburetor. I believe the Fitech control module being mounted on the throttle body and exposed to the heat is a poor design and the cause of many issues. Doesn’t Sniper have a firewall or internet mounted control board?
Good luck and thanks in advance!

Fitech: complete junk
Sniper: 1 out of 2 are Junk
Holley terminator: 1 out of 5 or 6 are junk
cheap, chinese garbage with cheapeast crap they can shove together
Holley dual sync: iffy, just chased a bad one for 2 days
After switching out a couple different Fitechs that were problem prone to sniper, I was originally impressed on how good the snipers worked, both of those on street hot rods with less then 5000 miles are now acting up, since then every other sniper Ive used new has been problem prone or defective. IF spmone brings me a engine to dyno with one, its strictly time and materials if we gotta chase it for days then tear it off, tie up the dyno and re-install a second one. Im jaded on them all now. I could type about the issues from now until midnight, none of which were the physical install, Smitty
