Is this the GM coil on cap type? If so change the rotor.

When I lose something I always start looking at the last place I remember having it but usually I have to get my wife to find it.

I think I found my problem, took the coil off starboard motor ( this motor starts right up) put the starboard coil on port motor, motor starts up. I was looking at the coil and noticed the little ground wire in the coil had the black shrink wrap covering almost the bottom where it grounds in the cap.I cut the shrink wrap off the bottom of the ground wire put coil in the starboard motor, motor started right up.
