Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I inherited a 41' Cigarette about a year or so ago and I know next to nothing about boats. Unfortunately the tarp/tent structure protecting it from the weather has started to rip. Since I won't be working on it I was thinking of getting a boat cover. Some quick googling for 41' covers led me to a $750 and $950 option. Forum won't allow me to link them. Should I be expecting to pay $700-1000? Definitely don't want to cheap out, but I also don't know what to be expecting. The boat is parked outdoors in Southern California. It rarely rains, but I figure for the few times it may this winter I could get one of the previous covers and then put a waterproof universal tarp over the passenger area. I'd say the current tarp/tent setup has a month or so left on it. Any recommendations for where I should look for a cover?
Some info on the boat: My plan is to hold on to until January or Summer, whenever I have time to facilitate selling it. I know that it's a 41' Cigarette but can't remember the year and other specifications. It's got two massive Seatek diesel engines. Something around 8 liters each. It ran like a dream out on the water last year and as far as I know only needs paint and some interior to be completed. It was a ground up proper project without cut corners over the course of about 8 years with a lot of time in Dan's shop in SoCal. Hoping "Dan" is a well known name here, because I don't recall the name of his shop. Anyways, for the time being I am really needing to find a boat cover. Thanks for reading!

If “Dan” is Dan from Team Archer, then he’s highly regarded on here. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience with offshore powerboats.
If it’s a different Dan, then I just gave an unsolicited ‘plug’ for Team Archer.
Can’t help you with a cover but please, get her covered somehow, if she gets wet inside, it can cause no end of problems.

No it hasn't sold. I haven't made a for sale ad for it yet - just preoccupied. But I will be listing this Winter or more likely in the Summer. For anyone who passes by this thread and is interested, feel free to PM.
Still looking for cover recommendations! Thanks all
