Has anyone had good luck with the aftermarket mercruiser fuel pumps for the cool fuel? I have both the low and high pressure. It looks like the oem pumps are exactly the same with a lot lower of the price. I'm assuming mercruiser just puts their level on them and charges a lot more. Fuel pump factory has them for a good price

I find it extremely suspect that they have both the high and low pressure pumps for exactly the same price... and like what, 1/8th the price of a Mercruiser model? IF they are high quality and work well, then this is certainly an option to explore, if nothing else to have one on board in case of an emergency.

Some parts I'm willing to try aftermarket. Fuel Pump... nahh.
In my other hobby, aftermarket fuel pumps for sea-doo would fry the computer. so what was a fuel pump replacement, turns into a OEM fuel pump PLUS computer.

Except Merc will not sell just the fuel pump anymore. They force you to buy the entire Cool Fuel system for around $900

Speedy thank you for the offer. I have 2 used ones for spares now. I'm pulling the 454 mag gen 6 this week. I'm trying to put some new parts back on when it'd back from machine shop. New heat exchangers...oil cooler...transmission cooler. Manifolds/risers. Hopefully be trouble free for a while
