I have purchased two remanufactured zero hrs 454 420 hp motors, They came out of barefoot Nautiques. I am told they are a rare engines.

They are going into a redone 84 Scarab 2, looking for advice for exhaust manifolds. I have rebuilt BW's it's a TRS set up. Any info would be appreciated.

Not rare. They were in a lot of 80's performance boats. My TRS Scarab Panther (Scarab 2 performance version) has them in it. I did upgrade to hydraulic roller 500 EFI cams. And you can't go wrong with Stainless Marine manifolds and tails.

The Stainless Marine exhaist manifolds will also typically fail by leaking out on the exterior jacket, vs inside into the exhaust ports.
