Default COBALT 252 Project vp to Mag 502

Ive got a Cobalt 252, and pretty much the old 8.1osi VP with xdp drive is gone. I dont want to deal with the composite drives and the 8.1 Vp is great but i cant source anything locally, I found a 8.2 Mag and im thinking of putting a bravo 3 in it, What else would i need to get this all to work. Original boat has throttle cables and is a 2008 Cobalt 252, the 8.2 mag is a 2010 DTS out of a jet boat project that had 02 sensor issues and they couldn't make it work properly for the jet boat setup... If i get a bravo 3 and merc trans shield, what else would be needed to do this conversion.

I would stick with a Volvo setup. You can find 8.1 Gi's and GXi's readily available on the internet and change out the XDP for a DP. It would be all plug and play from cables, gauges, controls, steering, and trim. If you source the Volvo power train you would be boating in a day or two.

Converting to Merc would not be fun if you want to keep expenses down.

MHO.
