Question Question on audio

I currently have a Boston acoustic Home theater sound system (4 speakers and a subwoofer-NO center separate speaker).
I'm currently feeding my DVD player to my TV and the TV to the computers Audigy2 Sound Blaster card.

I just bought a new Sony DVD player and a Creative Labs 5.1 Inspire speaker system. To my surprise the DVD player "NS715P" has NO output for a center speaker, but it says it's compatible with Dolby Pro logic and surround sound.

My choices are:
Keep the DVD and the old audio system, or keep the DVD and use it with the new 5.1 speakers MINUS the center speaker....OR..
Return the DVD player and get one with a 5.1 sound system uot put.

One key question, will I notice any difference by not having that center front speaker?? My budget is $300-500.

All suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
