Looking to rebuild my new to me Merc 496HO SN# OWO 012282 RAW Water pumps.

Do I have order each seal and gasket separately from Merc or is there a "Kit" available somewhere?

I used this kit last year to rebuild mine.

Thanks Ryan - though my pump seems to be leaking out the end of the shaft as well. Thought perhaps there was a more comprehensive Kit out there.

There is a seal on the shaft. You could probably get the number off it and buy it somewhere.

The Hardin stainless pump is a nice upgrade. Pricey though.

There is. Separate from an impeller kit.
Typically, a sign the bearings are wiped also.
8M0140001 contains a shaft with bearings, 2 seals, tolerance ring, and retaining ring.
Or you could be tight azz like me, just order the 2 seals (they are available separately) and sourced some bearings for pennies on the dollar and pressed them on my old shaft.
