Default screeching sound at startup

Hi Everyone, Here we go again! 2 new refreshed bbc 509's. Ran great last year and winterized them last november. Fogged both engines. Boat is garage kept and garage never gets below 48 deg F. This season I changed the oil, filters, spark plugs msd caps rotors. Removed the carbs and replaced the accelerator diaphrams springs, needle seats and power valves. Started the port engine and all is good sounds great.
When i tried to start the startboard engine an extremel loud screeching sound appreared. I decided to remove all belts. I disconnected the seawater pump, alt.,power steering, circulator pump.. Tried to start and same noise was there. I then swapped msd distributors. same issue. extreme very loud screech. I then disconnected the msd ignition coil and the engine cranked over easily with no issues but as soon as I reconnected the msd ignition coil the screeching noise reappeared and also seemed like it did not want to continue and run. Last year before I winterized it and the starboard out drive input bearings were changed by a local marina due to the clear drive oil getting darker faster than normal. 1 hour of runtime on that drive with the 2 new bearings. The only moving item besides the engine is the gimble bearing, upper part of outdrive, coupler and starter.
Is it possible the bravo1 outdrive is binding causing the screeching sound? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Please note timing a bit advanced after swapping distributors.

1) The drive MUST be tilted down when running a Bravo drive. Even when not in gear, the input shaft is spinning and having the drive tilted up is putting the U-joints in a bind.
2) That sounds like a starter issue to me, like the bendix is staying engaged on the flywheel.

Drives are all the way down. I thought of the starter gear getting stuck 50 to 100 rpm to crank but when it starts it goes to 800-1000 rpms. but before i swapped the distributors i had to click the engine in small increments to line up for TDC. no issues with clicking and no unusal noises from starter. I ordered another anyway.

That sounds to me like the bendix gear is getting hung-up and staying engaged. Might want to add a thin shim to see if it clears up.

Hope you didn't rev it above idle. At 1000 rpm, with a stuck bendix, that poor starter is spinning at ~15,000 rpm.

Probably did lol. Took out the starter. New one on they way. Starboard motor should be easier to get too. I just can't bend that way anymore..what a pain!
I ordered a new ignition switch just in case.
