the timing issue that you are hearing was not originally there when i first heard that noise, after swapping the distributors i could not set the timing with a timing light due to the screeching. Please see last line of original post above where it says (see video)

Update: Good News!

Installed new starter today. Problem fixed. No screeching. started right up. Thanks for everyone's input to my issue. Very much appreciated!
