Trying to get some ideas on this Convincor with where and how I want to mount (2) amps and 1 DSP in the cuddy. Shouldnt be too hard but like to get some different ideas. Will be adding another amp next year for subs for total of 3 but only 2 now for 6.5s. Also curious how many batteries u run for when motor is off to power it. Thx!

We have a small "closet" down in our cuddy that backs up to a "glovebox" style storage bin in front of the front passenger seat. Inside that closet, there is a false ceiling that serves both as a separator between the storage area of the closet and the wiring for the head unit and as a mounting surface for the amp that drives the stereo system. The amp is visible behind the "curtain", and the wiring is relatively accessible, but the wiring behind the head unit is hidden. I hope that makes sense. I don't have any pics, and the boat is 180mi away at the moment.
Thanks. Brad.

On my 251 Convicor I cut a piece of plywood, painted it with fiberglass resin, then wrapped it with white seat vinyl. I mounted it in the starboard side engine bay behind the seat back, but not screwed to the seat back itself. The top screws were in the cross beam that the engine hatch closes on, and the bottom was screwed the the bottom seat base structure. That way when I removed the seat back to work on the front of the motor, the plywood and amps stayed there. They are two Sony marine amps and still going 15 years later.

I have (3) amps mounted under my rear bench, against the bulkhead that separates the cockpit from the engine. (1) Audio Control LC-1.800, (1) Audio Control LC-4.800, and (1) Polk 500 watt two channel amp. I am running this off the 'house' battery; an Odyssey ODX-AGM24M. Has served me well, and I spend hours coving out listening to music.
