Default Looking at Cigarette TG 38 at Big Thunder

Hello all, new here. Looking at a TG 38 from Big Thunder Marina in Lake of the Ozark’s. It’s listed on multiple sites as a 1993 for 99k but I’m in SoCal. Does anyone know the boat “Probably Shouldn’t Have”, previously “No Permission”

I can’t post the URL until I’ve had ten posts. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
dish

don’t know the boat personally but seen it online. Lola like someone updated it real nice. Spent some coin on it for sure! Looks like a really nice ride. Those drives with blowers will be the weak link but just be easy on them and you should be ok.

where you at in so cal? Be nice to get another cig around here. There’s only a handful these days.

Bought our current top gun from big thunder. Ed was very easy to deal with. By the way, if you buy it, I HIGHLY recommend leaving it there and boating on ozarks once or twice before it heads to Cali. LOTO is fantastic.

Default Tg 38

Tank, thanks for the reply and the info. Ed has been very helpful and I look forward to meeting him in person. This will be my first big performance boat and I will definitely have to take the drives into consideration. I’m in Huntington Beach but the boat will be in Havasu. I definitely will take her out on LOA before returning west.

I wouldn’t be as scared of the XR’s as everyone else is unless you’re planning to romp on it out of the hole, run it WFO and leave the water a lot.

Dude named Tom runs the team virgin F2 Top gun out of Newport. Dan has a really nice TS gun out of Valencia he runs down there and in havasu. I’m up in Ventura county. There’s a few other around here but not many. We keep ours in havasu Oct - June. Bring it back to Cali July-Oct. see you in havasu I’m sure. Maybe Catalina run in Sept??

It's more that you have to consciously plan to avoid doing those things.

Babied a Bravo behind a supercharged 540 last Sunday. Would have been nicer not to have to think about the drive.

Found a couple of Apache 36, that Bobby Saccenti built, for sale. One 1999 was totally re-done by TNT in 2013 and have modest hours. It's got very modest power

but should be bullet proof with XR drives. It's in Louisiana. The 2nd one, 1997, is a monster with pretty fresh engines and drives. It's local to you in San Diego.

I would work the price on the one in Louisiana if you don't need crazy power. It sold for $180 five years ago, now on FB marketplace. I don't know the San Diego one.

Bobby Saccenti raced the twin-step 36 model and won as usual.
