Default Mercury Racing 525 Exhaust?

I’m looking to purchase a pair of 525’s that come with Stainless Marine manifolds. I’ll need to buy risers / tails. Can I use a std height riser that is dry to the tip or will it revert? I’ve only seen the +3” height risers being used. TIA

A dry to tip riser won't really have reversion issues. But you need to make sure the transom exhuast is protected from stern wake impact.

Dry riser tails will typically have a small weep hole at the exit to drain out water and cool mufflers if you have them on.

As for height...it all comes down to how much room you have, without getting overboard.
