Default prop for 27 Fountain

I have a 27 Fountain that was just repowered with a 502 / 435 hp. I put Gil exhaust on and have been told that now I have around 455-460 HP. Any ideas as to what the best prop will be for this?

Boat is a 1991, no step. The motor is 2002 GM.

I have a 4 blade Hydromotive Intimidator IV that I believe was originally a 21P, but it looks like someone has stamped a 3 over the 1, making it a 23P. Can I get this prop worked to be a 24P?

Thanks for the input!!!

I have a 93 27 fountain with stock 502 carb motor, K&N ait filter, timing set at 12 deg for 32 deg at full advance and EMI thuder exhaust so I am probably very similar to you. My prop is a 24" 4 blade spinelli. The boat gets out of the hole great , cruises well, but with a mile of two loss at top end. I would definitely recommend a 4 blade over the 3 blade mirage 23 that came stock on my boat.

I've triied alot of props except for a B1, the best for me so far has been a Rev4 with the Hydro Q4 a close 2nd. The boat acts differentlly between the 2, with the Q4 riding higher in the water. I'm running a 23p Rev @ 5600, 81 mph (1.36)

Depends on if you can run WOT any time and can use a lot of bow lift or you are running in rough water and are bouncing through the tops
I called Hydromotive direct and that was the question they asked me.
Since I'm running WOT and flat water, most of the time, he told me that their prop would not work for my boat! The Hydro doesn't give the bow lift that the Mirage does!
Surprised me, an Honest answer to an Honest inquiry.

1999 27 Fever step hull with a stock 502 MPI Mag 415 hp. Boat came with a 23 Hydromotive that sucks getting on plane but pulls to 69 GPS. Bravo 24" planes much better, has a better midrange cruise, but porpoises above 62 GPS. This porpoising limits the top speed of the boat to about 66 GPS.

Running 435-450hp, I would go with the 24 Hydro, spinning 5300 rpm, if your motor can spin that. Maybe a 25Hydro labbed (maybe)

I run a 25 Hydro on a 2001 27 Fever 500efi, 5350rpm I nail 73 full of gas, 74.5 no gas (gps). All is at 800 ft elevation and freash water. I think I can squeeze another 1-2 mph if I get a 26 Hydro labbed.

My 2 cents
