Question 112 degree lobe centerline cam. Is it safe?

I am considering using a 112 degree lobe centerline cam in my 468 CI BBC N/A engine build-up. I have a Stainless Marine exhaust manifold (earlier design, w/o the cast separated riser set-up) with a Silent Choice diverter that I want to keep. Would this set-up risk water reversion? Any info would be helpful. Thanks
