It's not looking too good for riding over the holidays. Your best bet would be up on the Superior shoreline of the UP. But I don't even think that is ridable yet.

just got off the phone with a friend of mine in the gaylord area an he said they have been gettin pretty steady snow. bout 6 or 8 inches in the last few days.unfurtunatly there wasnt much of a base though. i was up there a few days last week an it started coming down as i was leaving town on friday night.

Take the short drive towards Perry Sound Ontario. The trails are groomed and the 2 lakes are marked. The trails are a little rough from some of the yahoo's but give them aliitle more time and they will be mint. I know it is not MI, but it really is a short ride for some good early riding.

i was just surfing this afternoon. looks like grand marais will be the best, they are getting the most lake effect right now.
