Hi Greg! Hey call "Doctor Dave" (269) 944-0214 Michigan (EST). He has a 35' Cigarette that has TRS drives and is running with a pair of 557" supercharged engines that produce about 820hp on the dyno. He has made his TRS drives live while using a 28" Bravo One 4-bladed prop. He has tried the 30" pitch Bravo One's but the drives would break---obviously too much pitch for the horsepower/torque/weight he is running. He rebuilds a lot of TRS drives for guys who have had trouble breaking them. He's is very good! Doug has had his TRS drives rebuilt on his 35' Cigarette "Pure Adrenaline" by a couple of drive shops and only got 4 hours or so out of each drive (he doesn't even have superchargers, just naturaly aspirated engines) until he took them to Doc Dave. Now he has about 40-50 hours on them without any problems. Doctor Dave would be a good person to ask that question, but he's not on here very often. Give him a call.

Lots of good threads in here on this subject. -- Some quite recent. Search out the "TRS" keyword for more info. than you probably want to know. Will say, however that the PROPERLY assembled TRS drive will probably outlast a STANDARD Bravo with equal HP's. You just need to pay attention to the transmission. The bigger B/W units will be fine but the MercTransII needs to be beefed to handle much over 500 HP. Later! --- Jer

I've got 800 dynoed HP in my fountain. Transmissions were reworked and drives were done at Speedmasters. No problems with drives at all. I drive the boat fast but don't beat it.
