Default Damaged '99 35' Lightning -- what's it really worth

This boat recently sold for $4,000, was this a deal for someone or is this boat damaged beyond repair?

holy freakn hole batman!!! lets see....no drives/gimbals/transome plates.....no tabs but backing plates.......some hydraulic steering there...no engines, even though it shows a pic of the bottom end of one.. ....and one BIS ASS FREAKN HOLE!!!
Not sure as to whats left in the cockpit and interior...but that looks like a hell of alot of work! He MAY be able to part it out and break even.....but i dont know.........would Fountain sell a bare bottom hull???

Judging by the size of the HOLE in it I'm sure it was a submarine for a while so whatever is left inside has probably suffered some form of water damage.

A friend of mine, in 1999? after watching fireworks off the Queen Mary in Long Beach, hit an unmarked barge mooring bouy. There were a couple of serious injuries but everyone is fine.

looks to me that anything of value has probably been stripped from this one.

That would be one helluva project to put back together - and even if you did the work, is it worth it??

I put this in the category of "labor of love" for this particular boat - otherwise you are gonna spend a lot of money on a part time job and work your full time job just to pay for your part-time job.

but then again - isn't that what all the racers on this board do??
