question for the cat people.

the only cat ive ever gotten to drive had very low sitting seats and it wasnt very comfortable to drive.
also , the vibration was pretty bad.

Do you want an OB or IO how fast do you want to go? I'd go 28 Skater in that size range.

Take a look at Force Offshore. Custom built boat and trailer. Oustanding reviews (Powerboat 12/02 and Family & Performance Boating 02/03). Performance / Quality / Value. A 26' (more like a 28') w/ Beck Racing 540 ( 650 HP ) 88+MPH -- about $83K -- Boat/ExtremeTrailer/Full Cover & Prop/In Gelcoat Graphics out the door. Tough to beat. Add about $6K for the 29' (more like 31.5') Worth a close l k. They also offer a multitude of engine/drive combinations, I/O or ouboards. Here are some shots of one.

They just came out with the 32' which has much deeper sponsons for offshore running. It comes standard and tall deck canopy versions. The 36' will be released in late '03 along with an offshore 28' tall deck canopy model. They are also finishing up the super light cat to pro-race in '04. Those Beck Racing Motors are great and also come with a 1 year warranty too.

I have a 26 eliminator daytonia & have no vibration, sides are high but not has high as the 28 daytona. About 2 years ago dealer hear had a 28 with twin stock 502;s & we radared in in high to mid 80's. You can get it with or without windshield.

As far a ride, the first time I rode in one I was wondering where the drop down bolsters were. Dealer said you do not need them & he was right. I think friends 28 rides a little better that mine but he has 2 motors v my one, boat 1' longer, & hull weights more.

The boat I posted pix of should fit your needs. 496 Mag HO is stock power and will run about 74 MPH all day long. Great on fuel too. Boat-trailer-full cover and Merc SS prop.... $75K. Lexan windshield can be added but not really needed. It's a comfy ride, plenty of stowage and sleeps 3-4 adults up front. It even has 2 built in coolers standard.
