Default 502 short block weight?

Before I make a mistake,,, does anyone know the weight of a 502 with crank rods and piston in it,,,, I pulled the heads off in a cradle stand I have, but want to spin it to do the lower end easy, just dont want to assume my rotate stand will hold it,,, I had a full dress small block on it, so I wouls ASSUME it will hold it but you know how that goes !!!!!!!!!

Here's a guesstimate - BBC complete weighs 800+ lbs. Each head weighs 63 lbs. That leaves you with 600+ lbs.

Scarab, you gotta be wrong. The last set of heads I hauled out of the bottom of a cabin cruiser and carried up two flights of narrow stairs HAD to weigh 350 pounds each. That means that the shortblock weighs....

around a hundred pounds.

Anyhow, a BBC minus heads definitely weighs less than a dressed SBC.
