Default Wanted: 3-man Bolster

Looking for a 3-man-across bolster setup. Preferably white, but will look at other colors for the right price.

Thanks,
Brian

Not sure if he still has it but Randy of Typhoon

Yep, getting started in P4 with Silver Cup Series up here in the Great Lakes.

Randy, white with purple works out well, that's the color scheme on my 10-meter. Can you ship off a pic of it?

Jo at Pantera Racing also has a white/purple setup, and is taking measurements as I write this.

Inside dimention of my cockpit is a hair over 6', so 6'-even would be perfect.

Gotta love this site, you guys are the best.

Thanks,
Brian

Brian I just measured and its 5 feet 11 3/4 inches. How is that for a fit.Are you going to sit or stand? If sitting I have a throttle box that is a perfect match with the bolster that comes with it.

Hi Randy, plan to stand. The reason for the 3-man setup is so I don't have to move the throttleman's controls. Fountain makes this easier with left-hand throttles. The 3rd position on the left is the navigator's station. The extra body will help with weight to keep speeds under 79mph.

Just too many other things going on with the boat to deal with moving controls, gages, etc. as well - race fairing, new steering, comm system, manual bilge pump (what's up with that?), other safety stuff.

Had an interesting conversation with David Woods from Pier 57 today, asking if they had anything lying around. He also suggested moving controls and stay with a 2-man setup. He said that if weight was a concern, then toss a couple sand bags below to make up the diff. He said dealing with sand bags are much less difficult than dealing with a navigator. ;^)

Something to think about for next Winter.

About the bolster, sounds like it could work. Size is an excellent fix, color works, too. Do you have any pics? How would it "convert" to standup?

Thanks,
Brian
