Question Imco Exhaust?

I was told to becareful of water reversion on my 2000 502 Mpi. If I put on The Imco powerflow manifolds will I still have to worry about the water reversion? I was told yes. That I should consider a different exhaust/ CMI's.

If your a stock 502, from my research you will be fine.
I have a 2001 502 Mag, (160 hours) and added Stainless Marine. Some aftermarket exhaust are better than others, and all are better than stock. You should be fine IMHO.
I personally believe the advertised gains on all the aftermarket exhaust are exaggerated, I did it from a preventative maitenance perspective.
Best of luck to you.

I'd post a picture but I can no longer view them here, so....
see it here, the install start to finish.

The back side of the oil filter bracket, towards the transom, I would more likely use the word trim, vice cut, I mean you could have ground off the small amount we trimmed off. If you don't the oil filter bracket will touch the front slope of the manifold and you cannot get it lined up for install.
As far as the ECU and shift brackets, they mounted right to the riser (bracket is attached to riser) no problem, the stainless steel brackets you see, are on the SS risers, make sure you ask about them.
The studs from the old rises have threads that match the new SS brackets, I just used new SS threaded bolts.
BILLR did the majority of the work and was the brain in the evolution, (thanks Bill).

CAO071, By using our POWERFLOW exhaust systems, your not going to have a reversion problem, unless you have changed the cam from it stock spec's. On the 2000 502 mpi with the upside down oil filter, the bracket will have to be relocated forward to clear the manifold with the relocator kit provided with the manifold kits. We offer three differant riser confiqurations to choose from.
Give us a call at 800-899-8058 to discuss further!
