That is one BAD boat, at one HELLUVA deal. If it had 525EFIs, I would be all over it. I don't want blowers. I wanna upgrade so bad I can taste it. However, after just getting engaged; I am going to get married first, I think, and we have to build a house so we can stop renting, and I can write off boat interest.

I think 575's are over rated. For the difference in price between 500efi's or 525's, you could take the difference, go aftermarket and make lots more power than the 575's. Of course you dont have the factory warranty. There are a couple on engine builders out there that will give you a 3 year warranty on the engine.
I think I would go that way before I went with 575's.... dont think its worth the money. Example: Teague Custom Marine, 509 575hp naturally asp = $9995.00. Merlin Block, heads, World intake, carb, dist, ready to drop in !
Whats a 575 go for, $50k stand alone cost ? For the $40k difference, you could make alot of HP for that going aftermarket.
What is the upgrade go for over 500efi's? I would guess atleast 25k. And its atleast 15k or more upgrade from 496's to the 500's. Do the math, which makes more sense ?
Just my opinion.

I really like the split controls . I wonder how much trouble that would be to convert mine to that system?.

LOR, I am still learning to park a boat , I dont use any throttle to park. I just use the forward and reverse levers. I do see your point . I also was thinking that it would eliminate hitting the throttles by misstake.
