Cool General speed increase with 5 lbs of boost

I realize this is a broad question with many variables but I just would like to hear some real world speed increases via supercharging.
If you care to share your gains it would be interesting.
If you wouldn’t mind, list your before and after speeds and also the boat size along with the boost level.

Just curious

Thanks,
Dave

12 mph

Engine was a crate 502. Blower was a twin-carb 250 running 3-4lbs.

Boat was a 1989 Formula 242.

Going from single-carb 174s to double carb-250s on my current boat (1990 Cafe Racer) I picked up 9 mph.

Go for it Capo, you'll love it. Put mine on myself working slowly over about 6 days while I was waiting to get reprogramed ECU back from Whipple. Fired right up on the hose with no problems - took it to the lake and ran great right out of the box - no dialing in other than getting the right prop size. Has run great for 2 seasons - sounds like an F-16 when you get into boost and it throws you back into the bolsters. Yet gets better mileage when out of boost than before - you gotta love that.
